Isaiah's LORD - The LORD that dwellest between the cherubims

Lord is found in over 400 verses of  The Book Of Isaiah. The first is Isaiah 1:2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken . . . The last is Isaiah 66:23 . . . shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. Both the first time and the last time is is LORD all capital letters. LORD all capital letters is seen in 378 of these 417 verses. Who is this LORD?

He is the one delivering this prophesy to Isaiah (Isa 1:2) and usually seen speaking throughout the book.

The LORD is seen as the LORD God the first time in the Bible Genesis 2:4.

The best identification of The LORD is seen in Isa 37:16 O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth. Hezekiah knows him as the one true God. Who spoke to Moses in  Ex 20:1-3¶ And God spake all these words, saying, I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.  Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

A key phrase in identifying The LORD is that dwellest between the cherubims

1Samuel 4:4 So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth between the cherubims: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

2Sa 6:2 And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims.

Psalm  80:1 ¶ <<To the chief Musician upon Shoshannimeduth, A Psalm of Asaph.>> Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.

Psalm 99:1 ¶ The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.

This place between the cherubims is clearly identified in Exodus 25 [Exdus 25:22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.]  and in Hebrews 9:1-7

The LORD is the Shekinah (Glory) In Psalm 80:1 - shine forth

Levititus 16:2 And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.

Ezekiel 9:3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;

Ezekiel 10:18 Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.

The shepherd Of Israel

In Psalm 23:1 David identifief the LORD as his shepherd.

In Psalm 80:1 Asaph identifies The Shepherd of Israel as the one that dwellest between the cherubims. In Psalm 80:3 the shepherd is God whose face shines in Psalm 80:4 the shepherd is the LORD God of hosts

In John 10:11 Jesus said I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

In Hebrews 13:20; 1Peter2:25; 1Peter 5: Jesus is also presented as the good shepherd, The Shepherd and bishop of our souls

The Jewish leaders knew Jesus when he claimed to be the good shepherd he was claiming to be the LORD, the Shepherd dwellest between the cherubims - The Shekinah - Gory of the LORD that  filled the tabernacle in Exodus 40:35 and the temple in Jerusalem in 2Chronicles 7:1 This why there were those who called a devil, and wanted to stone Him. (John 10:31)

Jesus Christ is the Glory Of The LORD, the express image of God the Father (Hebrews 1:3)

Hezekiah also claimed one that dwellest between the cherubims as the Creator (I John 1:3)

Jesus Christ, the Messiah, is the LORD God of Israel, The LORD

I am convinced that God the Father has always chosen to receive glory through God the Son by the working of God the Spirit. Three persons one God - The Holy Trinity, Three in One. Actually the LORD can rightly be used for God, God the Father or God The Son.
