Isaiah Chapter 25 - The LORD Is To Be Exalted

Verse 1 - Isaiah’s LORD -
Isaiah knows He is God - worthy of being exalted through praise
Why -He has showed Himself in the wonderful things He had done (Isaiah Got It! even if the rest of Judah and Jerusalem did not)
His ancient counsels are not just faithful and true they are in fact faithfulness and truth. See Psalm 40:10 - What was King David proclaiming to the congregation? - God’s counsels - what is contained in His counsels - His Salvation,
God’s declarations are not to be judged by any standard they are the standard.
Psalm 119:89-96

Verses 2- Isaiah 21:9; 23:13; Jeremiah 51:37 - After Judah is in captivity in Babylon 70 God was going to bring the mighty city of Babylon ruin as foretold by Isaiah, There is a day when he will bring the next Babylon down and it it will not be built again. (See Revelation 18:21)
Remember Jericho- Joshua 6:20; Isaiah understood the wonderful things The LORD had preformed for Israel in the past and believed He would perform what He promised to do in the future.

Verse 3-5 The strong people will glorify The LORD they are the one who know The Lord has been the savior to those in need (Ephesians 6:19 - only those who believe can be the strong, Proverbs 14:26) Those who fear the Lord are the strong, When they fear the LORD the poor and needy are the strong.
Those who choose to try to be strong and terrible in their own selves will be silenced and brought down by the LORD they are the weak.

When Jericho fell the enemies they feared what Joshua would do the them tried to make peace with Israel. (Joshua 9) Many became slaves to the Jews to survive. Revelation 6:14-17, 16:9, 11, 21 makes it clear those upon the earth will know who is bring the judgment upon them and instead of falling in worship they will blaspheme His Name. These are the ones who The LORD is going to bring down (Psalm 21:13)

Verses 6-8 That Day when The LORD reigns from His Holy Mountain - (that is raised up above the whole earth in the Millennium) all will come before Him to worship.
Is there that the burden is cut off, the covering veil that has kept the nations from seeing The Lord as LORD will be removed and Israel will now be able to worship Him.
After Satan is released at the end of The Millennium and defeated and eternally cast in to the lake of fire the curse will be removed. Revelation 22:3 The victor will be exalted,
Eventually death (1Co 15:26), pride, tears will be wiped away and

Verse 9- Israel and all nation will truly know and proclaim Our God Reigns

Verses 10-12 Those who place themselves on high, equal to the place reserved for the LORD will be brought down, their thrones will be crushed into dust -
Micah 1 - when The LORD leaves his throne in Heaven and steps upon the high places the earth will be shaken as it has never been shaken before (Amos 4:13)
Micah 4:1

Note #1 - The high places
“high places” is seen - 89 in the Old Testament
First - Le 26:30 And I will destroy your high places and cut down your images, and throw your carcasses on the carcasses of your idols, and My soul shall despise you. Most times used as places of false worship
God’s counsel was to only worship before where He was going to dwell - (The Most Holy Place) -
The “high places” were where man says “I will worship who I want to worship and how I want to worship and it is equal to the worship before The Holy One Of Israel”. Anything man declares equal to or greater than God is a high place.(could be a job, a new car, a fancy cell phone, a new born baby)
Only one time in New Testament - explained Eph 6:12 - there is wickedness in high places - only wickedness in holding something or someone equal to or greater than God. Only wickedness in false worship. Jeremiah 3:23

Note #2
These ancient counsels depended upon one thing - obedience. - What is God’s number one counsel - Obey my voice-
Jer 7:23 But I commanded them this thing, saying, Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people; and walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, so that it may be well with you.
Jer 11:4 which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey My voice and do them according to all that I command you; so you shall be My people, and I will be your God
Jer 38:20 But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver you. I beg you, obey the voice of the LORD which I speak to you; so it shall be well to you, and your soul shall live
*Isaiah knew the most important truth of all The Lord Will be Exalted - and His counsel must be believed and obeyed. In fact the greatest counsel is “Obey God and live - If you don’t believe you will not be established.”

Note #3 Read Isaiah 25: 3-5, with Isaiah 22:1-13 with Revelation 11:1-13 -
