Chapter 2 Part 1 -

Isaiah 1:1 The vision Isaiah saw Isaiah 2:1 The word Isaiah saw

Both were concerning Judah & Jerusalem

Chapter one Isaiah is the introduction to the entire ministry of Isaiah The vision would be the entire book and what it contained was the word he saw. He witnessed these words before he delivered them to Judah..
You will see later the vision is a word or message from God.

The word is defined in 2:3, The word of the LORD - 1:10 - The law of God is His word or the word of God is the law- John 1:1 makes is clear: there is no difference between God and His Word - The entire cannon of scripture (The King James Bible) is the word of The LORD, what Isaiah recorded is the word of The LORD -
Isaiah 5:24 - The word of The Holy One Of Israel - was despised
Isaiah 30:12 - They did not stay upon His word but upon their sinful character
Could The Lord still be talking to the Heavens and the earth - Judah was not hearing the word.
Chapter One ends with the promise of the purging of Jerusalem of her sins.
Chapter Two begins with the introduction of the last days. Leading to the purging

Isaiah 2:2: the Last Days -

Some commentaries teach the Last Days are an expression for the distant future, which was true when Jacob spoke for the last time to his sons and when Isaiah began his ministry to King Uzziah; but not necessarily with a specific starting place or a specific end.
Many teach that this is the Church age. [The Church Age is contained in the Last Days but the Last Days do not start with the Church or end at the Rapture of the church]
Peter in Acts 2:14-21 taught that Pentecost was in the Last Days and Joel prophesied of this time.
Hebrews 1:1-3 explains that the Last Days began when God spoke to the apostles through His Son, Jesus Christ. As the New Testament was written God still spoke through His Son through the written word and is still speaking to us today through His Word, His Son.

The last days for the Church have a different end than the last days for Israel. The last Days for the church end with  the rapture when the Church enters into The Lords presence for eternity.

When Isaiah received this vision the nation of Judah was in it's last days to exist as a free nation it headed for captivity in Babylon, a picture of the last days when Israel will be heading toward the Tribulation Period where they again removed from Jerusalem.

When do they end for Israel- I believe with the new heaven and new earth when Israel enters into the presence of the Lord for eternity. Israel's Last Days may begin with the apostles or even the rapture of the Church. The last days for Israel my only be beginning at the rapture leading to their final purging.

Isaiah 2:2-4 - There is a time when all nations will come to the LORD’s mountain and God’s house to worship and learn about His ways. Not only will teaching go out from Jerusalem but also the LORD’s judgment that will bring and end of war.
Be careful when you read many commentaries about these verses: Many teach this is speaking of the church (universal) that sends out the Gospel to the world and all nations will flock to the church and be saved. This is simply symbolic of the work of the church. God’s house is the church.  My problem with this is the world is not flocking to the church for salvation.
Jerusalem is not a place that is symbolic for the church but is God‘s Holy City and not symbolic but literal.
God’s House is the temple not the church. There is no truth going out from God’s temple it was destroyed.
Isaiah is speaking of the 1000 year Millennial Reign of Christ (Rev 20) and eternal New Heaven and New Earth (Rev 21)

Isaiah 2:5: Isaiah’s Plea to Judah and Jerusalem - Come back and walk in The Light Of The Lord
Remember when Israel walked in the dark of night through the wilderness, they walked in the light provided by the flame the led them.
They were to live as if they were God’s chosen people - in His truth and law
Isaiah 9:2; John 1:1-11; John 8:12; John 12:36; Ephesians 5:8

Gen 49:1 ¶ And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. [This chapter could be a picture tribulation period and 1000 year reign of Christ and how the individual tribes behave and what they may be doing.

Isa 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

Mic 4:1 ¶ But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.

Ac 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

2Ti 3:1 ¶ This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Jas 5:3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

2Pe 3:3 ¶ Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
