Chapter 54 and Selah & The Curse

Chapter 54 teaches that there are more choosing to go after bondage than live in promise of God. - But there will be a time when no walls will be able to hold the nation of Israel.

 

Ps 47:4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.
[Isaiah 54:3 …..and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles…..]

Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD

 

Ps 4:2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.

Ps 89:45 The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.

Isaiah 54:4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

[We have seen that the shame of Israel will be transferred upon the the nations who never showed mercy to them.]

 

Ps 57:3 He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth

Isa 54:8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer


Ps 49:15 ¶ But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah
Isaiah 54:5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

 

Ps 88:7 Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah.

Isa 54:11 ¶ O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

Isa 54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

 

Ps 48:8 ¶ As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.

Isa 24:6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

Ps 62:4 They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah  [Revelation 22:3 And there shall be no more curse:…..]

Ps 140:3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.


Genesis 2:1-3, The Sabbath - The day which God appointed to be observed by the Jews as a day of rest from all secular labor or employments, and to be kept holy and consecrated to his service and worship. This was originally the seventh day of the week, the day on which God rested from the work of creation;
Psalm 37:7 ¶ Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Ex 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
Mark 2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath
Ps 32:7 ¶ Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.


Remember Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  - Another Selah moment.

Could this be the Millennial Kingdom and the New Heaven & Earth? - Christ sitting upon the throne in Jerusalem high and lifted up. The Church ruling and reigning with HIM. The Gentile nations serving and providing for the Nation of Israel because through them came the One sitting upon the throne with the nail pierced hands.. - O what a glorious “Day That” will be, Jesus IS COMING AGAIN!!
Isa 11:10 ¶ And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
Isa 14:3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
Israel will be protected by The Lord of the Sabbath and provided for at the labor of the Gentiles not theirs.
Isa 60:16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. [See 61:6]

How does the rest come to Jerusalem and His people.

2Ki 14:7 He slew of Edom in the valley of salt ten thousand, and took Selah by war, and called the name of it Joktheel unto this day.
Selah - rock or rock city
Joktheel - veneration of God -
Veneration - (Webster’s 1828 The highest degree of respect and reverence; respect mingled with some degree of awe; a feeling or sentiment excited by the dignity and superiority of a person, or by the sacredness of his character, and with regard to place, by its consecration to sacred services
When The LORD comes and kills those who come against Him, Revelation 19:19 He will be venerated in the eyes of all who escape His judgment. Escape into the Selah of the Millennial Kingdom Of The LORD, The Holy One Of Israel. Revelation 20:9 - the battle at the end of the Millennial Kingdom - leading to the rest of the new heaven and earth.
 

2Ch 14:11 And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee

Hab 3:16 ¶ When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops

Ps 37:7 ¶ Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass

Ps 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope

Ps 130:7 Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

 

Ps 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies
