Read Isaiah 10:24-27, 5
Isaiah is told not to fear the Assyrians (they can only destroy the body)
God will come against Assyria remove immediate burden (2Kings 20:6; Isaiah 14:25)
10:27 speaks of “that day” when an anointing removes the burden.

The Anointing - The anointing of sacred persons and objects signified their being set apart and consecrated to the service of God - Anointing with oil - To Sanctify

Mark 14:8; - set apart to The Cross - Mark16:1
[The visible anointing of Jesus after he was baptized was for the Jews. They should have recognized as the One from Daniel, Isaiah. This was a sign for the Jews. This was not about the church believing but so the Jews would believe. He showed Himself over and over to the Jews by visible physical miracles.]

Jesse - the father of David. Jesus heir to the throne physically through his mother, by adoption through Joseph

The three-fold picture of the Spirit - The complete Spirit Of God (Matthew 4:16)

Knowledge & fear of the Lord

Verses 3-4 The Rod of comfort and judgment
Verses 5-9 - The world changed in the Kingdom
Verses 10- That Day of verses 5-9 - The Rod and root of Jesse - Becomes the ensign the both the Jews and Gentiles seek the flag is held up for all to see - Isaiah 6:1 - His throne is going to be above everything
Verse 11 That day of the Tribulation when the Christ begins pulling the Jews back (The staff)
Verse 12-16 That day of the Tribulation when Israel united and their enemies judged
The final and complete restoration of God’s chosen people - Israel

Chapter 12 describes what the outcome of The Lord’s restoration - Worship honor and praise to The Holy One of Israel - The Burden Removed and replaced with His Yoke.

The anointing removes the real burden

specifically, to be gravid:--bear, be a burden, carry, strong to labour.

Matthew 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
John 14:1 ¶ Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me

The burden for Israel’s care was upon the shoulders of God. Because they chose not to believe God they took the burden of their survival upon their shoulders and disobeyed the Lord.

Israel would have the burden of Assyria upon they because they would not stay upon the Holy One Of Israel.
They came against Judah the tender plant
They came against Jerusalem - God’s Holy City
