Chapters 30, 31, 32 - Part 3

The conclusion of the matter- When sin will be seen as sin

Isaiah 30:8- 11, 15,16,  Rebellious people defined: Get out of the way God , we do not want to hear what your  prophets are saying, we want to hear what is pleasing to our ears (2Ti 4:1Timothy 1:10; 2Timothy 3:1) let me go down my own path - Matthew 7:13-14

Remember the cloud by day and fire by night that led the children through the wilderness it was the Lord going before them leading them the way they should go. (Exodus 13:21-22, 14:19) - leading them away from Egypt in the path that they should follow. The cloud, The fire was God The Son, The Christ leading them from bondage to freedom in the promise land.

Psalm 119:105 ¶ NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path

The cloud and the fire was The LORD - When they rejected his prophets they rejected His Word - The Word is Jesus Christ -their Messiah - when they rejected the path The LORD wanted to lead them through prophesy (His Word) they rejected the Messiah - What did the Jews do to their Messiah  - nailed Him to the cross. The one they wanted to get out of their way was their Messiah

Proverbs  4:14 ¶ Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.
Proverbs  4:19 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble

Proverbs  4:26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established

How is a man established - Isaiah 7:9 - Proverbs 24:3 -

Judah had convinced themselves in their hearts that they could go apart from The LORD and prosper. In their hearts they had lost sight of their stumbling.

Isaiah 30:12-14, 17 (Wherefore) Since they chose stay upon  flesh over the covering of The Spirit - the path you have chosen will be as a breach (bridge) that will not hold up the weight of their decision and they will fall and be broken as a potter breaks an inferior vessel. Their destruction will be a something to behold.

Isaiah 30:18- 33,  The purpose in their fall  - So The LORD once again be able to be gracious and merciful unto His chosen. The path of the LORD will be their desire, His teachings their delight - It's That Day - (Isaiah 31:

The LORD is going to defend His City (Isaiah 31:4-5). His voice will be heard by all!

Isaiah 32:1- 7 When the King Reigns the vile and wicked will be seen as they really are. Instead as being seen as generous (liberal, good) they will really be seen as the villainess ones they are, destroying the poor through false generosity. Sin will be seen as sin.  Proverbs 29:14  .

Isaiah 32:8 - True goodness will be seen what it is. Good people will be do good things.

Isaiah 32:9-14 Isaiah proclaims they better listen to what The LORD is saying  with fear and trembling, judgment is coming with no relief - Until verse 15

Isaiah 32:15-20 - There is going to That Day when The LORD pour out His Spirit upon His people and this time they receive Him.- This is when they see sin as sin and righteousness as righteousness. The Spirit makes the difference and will come to Jerusalem. Zechariah 12:9-10 He will be their covering.

See Isaiah 31:6-9  This is when Hezekiah prays and the angel of the LORD slays much of the Assyrian army - more on this in Chapter 36. (Is a picture of Zechariah 12:9-10)

Why are we Christians able to distinguish between sin and righteousness today, why are we able to avoid the folly of Judah and Jerusalem? - The Spirit within us!!! - Isaiah 32:15

The conclusion of the matter Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14,  - The children had better fear and obey God because he will cause them to see their sin Proverbs 1:20-33 God is going to pour out His spirit on the children of Israel in reproof of their sin most will reject those who hearken (repent) will dwell in Him safely. Could it be The LORD wanted to cover Judah with His Spirit so they would see their sin and repent and dwell in the land in safety.
