Chapters 4,1 42 & Chapter 45 Part 2-  The Righteous King

Zechariah 3:8 ¶ Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.

Second application - The LORD, The Holy One Of Israel, Jesus Christ

Isaiah 42:1, Matthew 12:18 & Mark 1:9-11 ¶ And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Isaiah 42:1 & Matthew 25:31-32 Revelation 19:11, Christ is the anointed judge of the gentiles

Isaiah 48:28 & John 1-2 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

Isa 45:13 & Revelation 16:5 Christ is righteousness and He did not demand a price to free His people He paid the price demanded by the righteous God.

 2Ti 4:8

Isaiah 32:1 ¶ Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.

Isaiah 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

What God's elect judge shall accomplish

Isaiah 42:3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. 42:4 Cyrus will become ruler and all the nations will be subject to his law. Cyrus was a king that ruled well, his righteous kingdom did not only bless Judah, Jerusalem and Israel but all nations. The nations will be waiting to hear for Cyrus. Isaiah 45:11-16 Cyrus was to be a witness to all the world that The LORD He is God and the nations hear Cyrus and his testimony and be ashamed when they come before him. (Revelation 3:17)

Jesus Christ -Isaiah 45:11-16 That Day when the nations come before His Throne and 45:17-18 He will bring everlasting salvation to Israel.

Matthew 12:1-6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

Isaiah 41 & 42 contain a clear prophesy of the Lord Jesus Christ coming as the LORD's anointed, the LORD's elect. When Jesus claimed the prophesy in Isaiah was really about Him the Jews should have recognized who He was from Isaiah's words. Cyrus being anointed 100 years before he was born was the sign (for those who believed not) that pointed to Jesus. But to those who believed the prophesy of Cyrus written 100 before he was born and seeing that it was fulfilled 100% as Isaiah's writings predicted could realize that Isaiah's prophesy about Cyrus was not about him but it was about HIM! Luke 24:44

Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Malachi 3:1 ¶ Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts
