Chapters 65 & 66 Part 2
Last Lesson we looked the unique purpose of the Church: To stir up and provoke the Jews to jealousy. Israel was and is nation that has rejected the spread apart hand of The LORD over and over again and has provoked the LORD to jealousy by worshipping other gods. They felt their abominable rituals made them holier than everyone else and made them righteous and did notneed the LORD's righteousness accounted unto them. So He proclaimed in 65:5b "These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day."
65:6-7 The LORD proclaims He will not over look their iniquities and the iniquities of their fathers. He will measure out their punishment according to what has been their innermost desires. The heart is in their bosom. They slapped away the LORD's offer to be cradled unto his bosom and chose their hearts' desires.
Jeremiah 46:28 Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished
Ezekiel 23:25 And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal furiously with thee: they shall take away thy nose and thine ears; and thy remnant shall fall by the sword: they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.

65:11-12, 66:3-4 - The end of those who He called and did not answer, who slapped away His spread out hands, those who are are a smoke in His nose, a fire that burneth all the day.

65:13-15 - The contrast of futures of those seen in 65:11-12 and the remnant who turn to the LORD. Misery and suffering before death comes to the wicked and called a curse, compared to the provision and comfort and even joy before His remnant (His servants) get a new name.
65:16 - The time will come when His people of a new name, His servants, try to gain anything on the earth it will be by gaining through the God of Truth not by own works, not by their own abilities (Gain the promises to Abraham), They will understand James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
When they swear or promise anything they will be swearing by the God of truth meaning they will completely fulfill every promise they make because they will be only be serving The LORD and glorifying His mane. There is no other name greater to swear by. Their word will be as good as God’s.
Jeremiah 4:2 And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.
God of truth is the Great I AM and The Amen
2Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
Revelation 3:14 ¶ And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
Colossians 1:16-17 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
The God of Truth is the Amen, Jesus the Son is the Amen, in complete agreement with The Father. Amen so be it or I agree. There will be coming the time when all mankind will be in complete agreement with The LORD, The Maker and Redeemer of Israel. The only promises made, the only things agreed to will that which is in complete agreement with The LORD. That is swearing by the God of Truth. This can be come to pass because Revelation 22:3. And there will be no more curse..... Man's heart will be able to be in agreement with Him.

The Servants identified
Isaiah 65:8 - This verse suggests a cluster of good grapes growing on a corrupted or dying vine. The vintner recognizes the potential for high quality wine to be produced from these grapes. His servants of the nation of Israel are just a remnant of the nation who will come to the knowledge of Isaiah 65:16 who will be able to serve the God of Truth in truth. 65:9 this cluster are His elect who will inherit His mountains (what mountains are not His)
65:10 - Sharon - a level tract extending from the Mediterranean to the hill country to the west of Jerusalem, about 30 miles long and from 8 to 15 miles broad, celebrated for its beauty and fertility, Achor a valley near Jericho take by Joshua 7 a valley where The LORD had Joshua stoned and burned with fire Achan (tribe of Judah) and his family and possessions because Achan took a cursed thing and brought trouble upon Israel. The flock or remnant who turn to the LORD the cluster from the dying vine will be able to rest - Psalm 23:2-3. The fold is a place of protection for the flock at night they would be lead by the shepherd to green pasture where they would gaze by day and then lay and rest before being lead back to the fold.

Why is this remnant chosen.
Isaiah 66:1-2 The creator who owns the heavens and earth, who man cannot offer anything - saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. -those are the ones LORD will allow to serve Him.
Isaiah 66:5-15 The promise to His elect and what they should be looking for. Could these be Isa 64:4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
This is the remnant who refuse the mark of the beast during the Tribulation of Isaiah 66:16-18.
Isaiah 66:19- The sign is the 144,000 sealed in Revelation 7:3-8
Isaiah 66:20-21 - The Gentiles who accept the message of these remnant will bring the remnant back to Jerusalem (likely this is at the beginning of the Millennial Kingdom) and this remnant will be taken for priest and Levites (Isaiah 61:6) to serve before the throne

Isaiah 65:17-19 is the promise of a new heaven and a new earth where the former condition of the nation of Israel will be forgotten not just hid from His eyes as during the Millennial Kingdom 65:16.

Isaiah 65:20-25 teach about Millennial Kingdom - coming before the new heaven and new earth.

Note: The True God is the Amen. Amen means so be it, I agree or verily. 2Corinthians 1:20. When they swear by The God Of Truth they will being swearing  in truth and in complete agreement with Him.

Note the serpents meal in 65:22 = Genesis 3:14 Satan may be chained but he is not dead.
Death and sin though scarce are still seen in the Millennial Kingdom. Not in the new heaven & earth Rev 21:4; 22:3
